Getting nervous about rofr

Two weeks ago we put a bid in for $65/pt at bwv for 350 points. Since then I have heard about a lot of people getting rofr'd. Should I be nervous or do you think we'll be ok?

Really tough to say, your price of $65 seems higher than what they've been going after. Is it a stripped contract? They seem to be still getting through as opposed to fully loaded ones.

I think what it comes down to is if anyone is waitlisted for BWV direct.

If I had to place a bet, I'm thinking the size of the contract and the price may be enough to get you through especially since you made it through the price increase cutoff.

The recent promotion for direct purchase generated a long waiting list for BWV. First promo I've seen where they were pushing older resorts (OKW and BWV) as well as Aulani and AKV. I expect quite a few BWV resales to get ROFR'd, but good luck anyway!

Thanks. Our agent said $63/pt seems to be their cut for buying back. But that was before I heard about so many buy backs.

Disney will probably take the full amount of time if they are currently doing ROFR. Gives them time to gather enough interest and then scoop up the points they need to fulfill.

No biggie, there's plenty of resales, if at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Eventually, Disney won't need the points.

is disney reselling these as 2054? i own at bwv (resale) and am hopeful they extend them to 2054, at a cost of course. if they are selling direct until then maybe i will just see if i can get on their waiting list. i want the same for bcv. my wife and i want to accumulate enough points to spend a couple/few months in a 1br at both resorts -- in our later years. got a ways to go yet.

Disney has not extended the end dates on the properties (yet). The are selling with the current end dates. We own VWL (mix of direct and resale) and would like to see them offer the extension as they did OKW too.

Still nothing!!! they have unitl next sunday I believe. Driving ME CRAZY.

They've been running to the very end on some, I think it may be 30 business days. At least before, if those that didn't get through you normally heard in the first 10 days. Now they seem to be holding on to them longer in case someone wants to buy direct.

If you pass, you normally hear on Tuesdays. The waiting was the worst part!

Ours went through just recently and Disney definitely took the full (or close to) 30 days.

We bought at SSR for $58/pt.

congrats :) I had heard (but remember this is rumor) that disney usually notifies you within the first few weeks if they are exercising ROFR. I am glad you made it though and got in before the price increase! We just bought a 120 point loaded contract at SSR and we got in like you did, right at the buzzer :)
