Mar. 19, 2003 – Reveta Franklin Bowers retired from the Disney board of directors.
Mar. 19, 2004 – The Disney Channel Original Movie “Going to the Mat” premiered.
Mar. 19, 2005 – The “75 InspEARations” statues of Mickey Mouse (created to celebrate Mickey’s 75th birthday) were unveiled at the Woodrow Wilson Plaza in front of the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. The Washington, D.C. exhibition is the only place, outside of Disneyland and WDW, where all 75 statues would be exhibited together.
Mar. 19, 2005 – West Coast singers presents “The Beauty of Broadway: An Evening with Susan Egan and the West Coast Singers,” a benefit concert for the chorus which includes a silent auction. The event took place at the Barnsdall Art Park in Hollywood, Ca. (Egan’s Disney credits include Hercules, Lady and the Tramp II, the Disney Channel’s Gotta Kick It Up, and Broadway’s Beauty and the Beast.
Mar. 19, 2005 – Disneyland Resort Paris kicked off the special season event “Disney’s Easter Festival.”
Mar. 19, 2005 – After nearly a year of refurbishment, the “It’s a Small World” attraction reopened in Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom at WDW. The attraction received a new sound system, paint, lighting, costumes for the dolls, and queue configuration.
Mar. 19, 2005 – For the 2nd consecutive year, “Raven” won a NAACP Image Award in the Outstanding Performance in the Youth/Children’s Program category for her starring role on Disney Channel’s “That’s So Raven.”
Mar. 19, 2006 – The Genesis Awards were handed out at the International Ballroom at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, Ca. The “Higglytown Heroes” episode “Kips Shadow,” won for Best Children’s Programming.
Mar. 19, 2006 – The “DTV” and “Missing Link Sausage Company” both closed at Pleasure Island in Downtown Disney.
Mar. 19, 2007 – The trailer for “Pirates 3: At World’s End” debuted to the general public during ABC-TV’s Dancing with the Stars.
