Maybe I am just missing it when I search it but is there a bar at the Polynesian Resort? For my trip in September I got a 750pm ADR for 'Ohana and before we go have dinner there my fiance(husband) and I would like to sit down at this beautiful resort and enjoy a drink together :mickey:

There's also a bar adjacent to the volcano pool, but I'm not sure it stays open that late.

Tambu Lounge! One of my favorites on property. Like Scott said, adjacent to 'Ohana. You can't miss it! :papple: :lei:

As others have noted, Tambu Lounge is a terrific spot for a pre-dinner drink. You don't even have to sit in the lounge area itself. We mostly look for seats in the waiting area away from the bar (this area also has servers wandering through to bring you your favorite drinks and/or appetizers).

One note, it's not a very big lounge so seating can be hard to get at times but since you're reservations are later in the evening you might not have a problem.

We love the Tambu Lounge when we can find a seat at the bar, which is 50/50 unless you go around 3 p.m. Once the crowd for Ohana starts arriving the seats go fast. Don't understand why the Disney resorts have hundreds of rooms and nine seats at the bar.

Agree. When we travel without the kids we enjoy having drinks and appetizers in the evening. You really can't because there are so few seats and seats are occupied by those waiting for their ADR.

The drinks are tasty and we enjoy the bread service as an appetizer.

During prime dining times, getting a seat or a drink is a challenge. 2 bartenders (and one is usually making drinks for the restaurant) makes for long waits...

Tambu Lounge is one of my favorite places in WDW, great before the 'Ohana dinner crowds swarm. After 'Ohana opens for dinner, it's uncomfortably crowded and hard to even find space between seats to order a drink. Be persistent and you will get a drink, but it's a wait to find seats at the bar. A Lapu Lapu is a must for me per trip, though. If the bar doesn't work out, you can still order one at your table once seated.

We love the Tambu Lounge, but on our last trip back in December, we had no problems getting seats at the bar at Port Orleans Riverside and the bartenders there couldn't have been nicer. Besides the bar, they also had a nice room filled with tables.
