Going to DW in April with our grandson...his first trip:cloud9: Wondering if there are any secrets to being picked to participate in the show. This will be our first day. We are going to Donald's Safari Breakfast. Breaking him in quick to the Magic:mickey:

They definitely tend to select kids who are in the front of the sections - easy access! You might need to get there extra early to get a better choice of those seats.

We sat at the front right next to the tunnel where the performers come out and our kids got picked.

The castmembers also do a good job of picking out participants who are not shy or clingy. I've seen all ages but all the kids had a sense of adventure.

It also helps to have a family member who is part of the cast!

Thanks for the replies! He is(of course) absolutely adoreable but a little shy with people at first so we will see how it goes.....

My daughter got picked (she was the lion)....and we were seated in the very first row. And then on another trip she was picked to go up for the end of the show when they all dance around in circles. Again.....we were seated very close.

Get there extra early....We took snacks and some drinks and sat there for a rest.....nice way to relax for a bit in the shade.

Good luck!!!

When we went with our motley crew of about 18, our kids were seated near the top, and one of our kids from the middle of the row got selected! I'm sure being up front helps, but don't be discouraged if you end up in the middle.

Maybe deck him out in bright colors? Tack some strobe lights to his shirt? You can never be too obvious! ;)

My DD (9 at the time) was picked. We were in second row behind the Handicapped seating. She was so shy she didn't want to go. As you can see from my AVATAR, I'm a big LK fan so I was a little disappointed but we enjoyed it together from the seats.

My girls were picked the last time we were there. We were up front which definitely can't hurt.

Sitting up front sounds like the plan! Thanks to all....54 days and counting!
