Feb. 20, 1998 – Downtown Disney Pleasure Island hosted the 5-day event “Mardi Gras” celebration.
Feb. 20, 1999 - “The Gap Band” made its debut at West End Stage in Downtown Disney Pleasure Island.
Feb. 20, 2000 – “Cap’n Jack’s Restaurant” re-opened under its new name changing from “Captain Jack’s Oyster Bar.”
Feb. 20, 2002 - The Tombstone dedicated to “Leota” was put in place at WDW’s Haunted Mansion.
Feb. 20, 2003 - The 3rd Annual “Ebert & Roeper Film Festival at Sea” began aboard the Disney Wonder. (4-day event)
Feb. 20, 2004 – Disney’s Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, starring Lindsay Lohen, was released. (The film is based on the teen book of the same name by writer Dyan Sheldon.
Feb. 20, 2004 – Disney Chairman and CEO Michael Eisner appeared as a guest on CNN’s Larry King Live.
Feb. 20, 2004 – The “Mardi Gras” celebration began in Downtown Disney at WDW.
Feb. 20, 2006 – The Disney Channel kicked off the 4th season of “That’s So Raven” with the episode “Raven Sydney, and the Man” (the 79th episode overall.)
Feb. 20, 2011 – The first TV spot for Pixar’s upcoming “Cars 2” aired during the broadcast of the NASCAR Daytona 500. (Scheduled for release on June 24th.)
