Can you do online checkin while staying at another hotel?

Yes... You can do online check in for all your reservations, 10 days prior to check in...

Since a split stay is actually two separate reservations, you can check-in to both in advance, or check-in to one part of it and not the other.

You can check-in 10-days ahead of time (or any time thereafter).
