We're moving to Orlando!!!

Just had to share my excitement! DH and I have been talking and planning on moving to Orlando for the past 4 months. We just felt like now was the right time and he was on the job search. He had a great job, with a great boss, for the past 10 years but DH knew that his boss has had a bad experience with people working remotely.

DH had his review yesterday and he told his boss that we are planning on moving at the end of January. His boss told him that he can't stand to lose him, so hes going to let him work in Florida from home! We are so excited and now we are on the house hunt!

And I've been working at home for 2 years now. It is an adjustment especially when most of your co workers are in another state but I love it.

Four Corners area (about 10 minutes west of the US 192 entrance for WDW, at the intersection of US 192 and US 27) is pretty nice; Hunter's Creek (north of Kissimmee) is *very* nice, but expensive.

Wow, congratulations CosmicRay!!!

My wife and I are moving down too!!!! We can hardly contain our excitement! We will be moving in about a week and a half from PA.

And we are moving to the location that Main Street Jim recommends....the end of 192 and north on 27 a little ways at Cagan Crossings.

We are going to rent at first to get a feel for the area.

Thank you all for your comments! DH's office doesnt know yet about this change so his boss asked him to wait. So I can't post it on Face book. But I also knew if there were anyone that understood our excitement it would be all our fellow intercotees!

The only real requirement that I have for a house is that I have an office with a door that I can shut. Headphones only do so much.

I'm excited too. So much to do before February, but I'm ready to start this little adventure.

Same here. I had to keep it hush hush until the VP and Sr VP gave the OK. Now, obviously all my co-workers know.

The hard part for us is/was waiting. But now we're down the home stretch. We start loading the truck Dec 11th.

We looked on the internet at different locations/places and decided to drive down a few weeks ago for a long weekend to tour the places that we had narrowed down.

We're moving from North Texas. We actually have a vacation scheduled already for the first week of January, then we're moving the first week of February. We'll probably look at a couple houses in January while we're there.

Congrats on the move. My sister lives in Wintergarden, about 5 minutes from MK if u go the back way past the cast connection. Some very nice subdivisions back that way.
