Chef Yoshie leaving California Grill

Came across this news and wanted to share. Very sad about Yoshie leaving. I've had the pleasure of sitting by the sushi bar and watching (then eating!) her sushi. She was great to talk to as well.



Chef Yoshie Cabral, the well-known sushi chef at the California Grill in the Contemporary Resort will be leaving the restaurant when it closes in late January for renovations. Chef Yoshie started at the California Grill in 1995, and is one of a handful of female sushi chefs in the U.S.

Oh my! I wonder if there will be a new sushi chef that can recreate the amazing dragon roll that was served at Cali Grill. It was so good! We are actually looking forward to going back to California Grill for the dragon roll specifically. We'll be very sad if it's no longer on the menu, or if it's not as good as it's been in the past.
