Nov. 24, 1999 - The New Global Neighborhood opened at Spaceship Earth and the simulation ride was removed and replaced by a tree that gives a glance at the new attractions at Epcot.
Nov. 24, 1999 – The Disney/Pixar computer animated film “Toy Story 2” was released in theaters. (Had its premiere at the El Capitan Theater Nov. 19, 1999)
Nov. 24, 2000 – Disney’s feature film “102 Dalmatians” was generally released.
Nov. 24, 2000 – Epcot’s “Candlelight Processional” began in WDW. (Ran through Dec. 30th)
Nov. 24, 2000 – “Downtown Christmastime in the City” began at WDW. (It would run through Jan. 2, 2001.)
Nov. 24, 2002 – The Disney Cruise Lines “Magical Holidays” began aboard the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder. (Ran through Jan. 1, 2003.)
Nov. 24, 2002 – The Disney/Touchstone Television Movie “The Pennsylvania Miners’ Story” aired on ABC-TV.
Nov. 24, 2003 – The Orlando Sentinel reported that Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa’s Victoria & Albert’s has been Named Central Florida’s only AAA five-diamond restaurant.
Nov. 24, 2004 – The Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights returned Disney-MGM Studios and lit up the sky for the holiday season. (ran through Jan. 2, 2005)
Nov. 24, 2004 – The “Hollywood Holly-Day Parade” debuted at Disney-MGM Studios for the first time.
