Nov. 12, 1993 - The “Village Traders” opened at the Outpost in World Showcase at Epcot.
Nov. 12, 1993 – Disney’s “The Three Mouseketeers,” starring Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland, Chris O’Donnell, Tim Curry and Rebecca De Mornay, was released.
Nov. 12, 1994 – Disney’s remake of “The Shaggy Dog” starring Scott Weinger, Ed Begley Jr., and Jordon Blake Warkol, aired on ABC.
Nov. 12, 1994 – The Annie Awards were handed out at ATAS Plaza Theatre in Los Angeles, Ca. Best Individual Achievement for Artistic Excellence in the Field of Animation went to Deane Taylor the art director for “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” Jeremy Irons was awarded Best Achievement for Voice Acting for his contribution to Disney’s “Lion King.” Best Individual Achievement for Creative Supervision in the Field of Animation was given to director Henry Solick for “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” “The Lion King” won Best Animated Film. Brenda Chapman was awarded Best Individual Achievement for Story Contribution in the Field of Animation for her contribution to “The Lion King.”
Nov. 12, 1999 – The “24th Annual Festival of the Masters” began at Downtown Disney in WDW. (3-day event)
Nov. 12, 1999 – Disney’s Broadway hit “Beauty and the Beast” opened at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater. (The show had been running at the Palace Theatre in N.Y.C. since 1994.)
Nov. 12, 1999 – The Disney musical “Aida” debuted at Chicago’s Palace Theatre. (Played until Jan. 9, 2000)
Nov. 12, 1999 – The “Carousel” located in DTD opened to guests at WDW.
Nov. 12, 2000 – The Wonderful World of Disney aired “The Miracle Worker.”
Nov. 12, 2002 – Disney’s “Winnie the Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year” was released on video and DVD.
