Nov. 8, 1980 – The “Big Thunder Mountain Railroad” attraction opened in Frontierland at WDW’S Magic Kingdom.
Nov. 8, 1987 – Vice president of WDW and Disney Legend Bob Allen passed away.
Nov. 8, 1994 – Walt Disney Records released “Christmas In The Americas.”
Nov. 8, 1994 – Deutsche Grammophon released the album “Arthur Fiedler & The Boston Pops Orchestra: Salute To Disney.”
Nov. 8, 1996 – The Disney/Touchstone Picture film “Ransom” was released.
Nov. 8, 1997 – The “ABC Super Soap Weekend” began at Disney-MGM Studios in WDW.
Nov. 8, 1997 – The restaurant “Citricos” opened at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in WDW. (Replaced Flagler’s)
Nov. 8, 1998 – The Wonderful World of Disney aired the TV movie “A Knight in Camelot.”
Nov. 8, 1999 – Disney’s “Winnie the Pooh: Seasons of Giving” was released direct-to-video.
Nov. 8, 2002 – Tokyo Disneyland (which now includes Tokyo DisneySea) welcomed its 300 millionth visitor, Mr. Yoko Kusunoki.
