Happy 'National Save for Retirement' Week!

While I know it's more fun to plan for a Disney vacation than to plan for retirement it's still a good idea to have a retirement plan. Lots of different groups or companies are offering free classes / counseling / advice this week as part of National Save for Retirement week so take advantage of those things if you want to learn more about the subject.

Trying to save!! My company matches up to 8% in our 401K's, so I'm doing 8%. My husband is aggressive in his funds, and manages them well.

Sigh....gone are the days of the pension for us, and having a reliable source of income in our retirement years. Both of us however will get a small pension, me from my "union" job at a supermarket that I worked for 14 years at, and my husband from the hospital where he still works. He had 15 years in the pension plan before they went all 401K.
We can just continue to be smart in regards to our future.
