John here, posting for a sleeping Christine. We went to the park tonight to check out the mystery addition to Pirates and Big Top Souvenirs. If you follow INTERCOT on Twitter, you know that the Pirates changes were not working, so that was a bust. BUT, Big Top Souvenirs was open in Storybook Circus, so we snapped some pics of it.

First up is a night shot of some of the work they're doing behind the walls at Fantasyland (It's coming along GREAT!), then the entrance to Storybook Circus, where they've added a couple of banners. Next post will have all of the Big Top pics.

Now for some Big Top Souvenirs pics. They did a great job on the place. The entrance is very nice, the atmosphere in the shop is perfect, and the register areas are a wonderful finishing touch. Great looking snacks too!

Hey now, I don't see a Vinylmation trade box behind that register!

How nice of you to do this while letting Christine sleep away! Great pictures, can't wait to see it all in person next month.

Dude, those cupcakes look pretty good. I bet you can't get one of those for a snack credit.

Surely, a cupcake is not more than $5.00. :eyes: They look nice but they are only a cupcake.

How was the merchandise? DH was there last week (on business) and took in an evening at MK to check out the new developments. He was a bit disappointed and said the shop itself was nice, but it was the same old tired merchandise they already have everywhere else. Maybe he just missed it? All these posts with new resort merchandise had sort of given me hope.

I think they have some nice circus-themed specific merchandise. Here is what I found:

There are also some popcorn/circus themed vinylamation. And what's really neat? The pin trading in the shop is brought out like the CMs are selling popcorn! I truly give them  for the theming.

In the beginning, I was not excited about the Big Top theme. I could only imagine bad renditions on par with AK's Dino Land. So far, I like what I've seen both in person and through pictures. :mickey:
