Well, the clock is ticking and soon it'll be time to take off on the 10 mile trek into the next dimension!
John will be there to cover thru video & photos and I am participating!

Bad news- I am sick with a horrendous cold/flu! Fever, aches, sore throat, congestion... Perfect timing :(

I'll do my best to tweet from the course- hopefully no tweets from the medical tent. :ill:

Stay tuned...

John is adding photos he shot last night so I thought I'd Post a quick report Before for my nyquil kicks In.

The pre-race: runners had to be in there Corrals by 915, start for the first wave was at 10 PM. That was a long time to be pinned up and little space. Also there were no characters out for photo ops which I thought was strange, just background photo ops.

The race: I may not have the most positive outlook on this because I was so incredibly sick and miserable for the whole thing, But there was very little entertainment along the course. The first few miles we ran from Hollywood studios to animal Kingdom and there was man on top of the VW Van that was making jokes and playing music but, there were some animal Kingdom puppets out and about, and the hyenas from Lion King. then there was nothing for quite some time. We ran through the woods and into Wide World of Sports. this was around mile 6 or so and I absolutely had a wall. I was so cold I was shaking and had to stop in the bathroom to get paper towels to wrap up in. I was in the last corral and some of the water stations where are the cleaning up and putting away before we reached them which was not very helpful at all!
We kept running through Wide World of Sports, finally got back on Osceola parkway and into Hollywood studios! I was so excited to run great LMA and just news I would be finish soon. That right when we ran to the hat we were diverted back towards toy Story Mania and backstage again. So close and yet so far. Finally we got to the finish line and then were escorted through the Fantasmic area and back to the park. There were a lot of people and it was very crowded. The line for food Was long , the lines for rides we're long, and the line for characters for long. There was a dance party at the hat, and bars set up everywhere. We didn't stay very long because I was so cold I couldn't stop shivering, but it looks like a pretty fun time.

All in all it's great to run Disney!! But it help to be healthy!

PS- 1 of the funniest thing I saw was at Wide World of Sports. They were bussing spectators over there to watch their Runners, and there was a group there with the funniest posters! 1 said "this is the worst parade ever!". some of their other posters we're adult in humor and so funny! They definitely lifted my spirits.
