Aug. 23, 1991 – The Disney/Touchstone Picture film “True Identity” was released.
Aug. 23, 1997 – The Disney Channel original television movie “Northern Lights” aired.
Aug. 23, 2000 - The Best of Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance closed at The American Adventure.
Aug. 23, 2001 – Running since June 16th, “The Power of BLAST!” performed its final show at Epcot’s America Gardens Theatre.
Aug. 23, 2002 – The Lizzie McGuire episode “Lizzie in the Middle” debuted on the Disney Channel.
Aug. 23, 2002 – The Disney Channel Original Movie “A Ring of Endless Light” aired.
Aug. 23, 2004 – Marceline, Missouri honored the memory of Walt Disney with a ceremony renaming the Marceline Post Office as the Walt Disney Post Office Building.
Aug. 23, 2005 – Disney’s Little Einsteins DVD “Our Big, HUGE Adventure was released.
Aug. 23, 2007 – Disney’s newest musical “The Little Mermaid” opened at Denver’s Ellie Caulkins Opera House. This stage production, which has been in previews since July 26, is scheduled to open on Broadway in N.Y. at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre Dec. 6th.
Aug. 23, 2007 – Zac Efron, star of “High School Musical,” appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine.
