I needed one more table service meal (on meal plan). Staying at Poly in a week with 12 and 14 year old. Made a reservation at GFC as we are planning on going to MK that night. Felt location was convenient. Menu looks good to us. How is food/atmosphere/service? Thanks for help.

My recent review of the Grand Floridian Cafe can be found here (http://www.intercot.com/discussion/showthread.php?t=193896) . I hope this helps!

We really enjoyed it! :mickey:

I think this is one of the most overlooked places in WDW. We really love it. We have always had very attentive wait staff, and the food has always been good.

I've always had good food, good service, and I love the atmosphere. It's has very garden cafe sort of feel.

Great choice! I agree with the other posters, in that the GF Cafe is overlooked - it's a wonderful place to eat, excellent service, and charming atmosphere.

We stumbled upon Grand Floridian Cafe one year and it was one of the best meals per trip. I called reservations on our way out to MK one morning and GFC was one of the few places available in MK or on the monorail so we took it. LOVED IT!!! We will definitely eat here again in the future.

I'll be the odd one out and say our one and only time there was underwhelming. We had put our boys on the pirate cruise that departs from the GF, and wanted a nice breakfast. Food was just okay (I remember not caring for the eggs at all) and atmosphere/service was a bit stuffy for us (but that's generally how we feel about GF as a whole). We wished we'd walked to the Poly. Would I give it another chance? Sure, but probably not for breakfast.

We make sure we have lunch at least once during our trip at the GF cafe. It is such a pretty place, usually not crowded and even if it is, the tables are placed far enough apart where it doen't matter. Everything we've tried has been outstanding. It is a very nice get away from the hustle and bustle of the parks.

Enjoy!
