Rose and Crown Beer Garden for Viewing Illuminations

In 2010, there was thread traffic regarding concerns that the beer garden next to Rose and Crown was no longer open for anyone to walk up and sit and was now requiring advanced reservations. I have not been able to find any information since that time.

Does anyone know if the beer garden is still available for walk up seating or do you have to make an ADR to watch Illuminations from this area?

Last I was there, it was reservation only. Which was a bummer since it was our favorite place to grab a table and some ales and watch Illuminations. That was October 2011. I'm hopeful it has changed, but thinking it probably hasn't. Rose and Crown has so many people wanting Illuminations views that I think leaving that area open for grabs is a thing of the past.

I believe that if you have a dinner dining reservation at Rose and Crown that evening, you can show your receipt and be admitted to the beer garden viewing area for Illuminations.

You need to make late dinner reservation. I do this everytime we visit WDW. If for some reason you dont get to sit on the patio, they will cover your food and let you watch ROE from a VIP spot

We were just there in Dec 2012 and we just walked right in and sat down about 45 minutes before Illuminations.
