Does anyone have some input on 1st week of December. Hoping crowds will be low and wait times minimal:party:

Over time, this week has gotten much more popular. Still, crowds are moderate and it's a beautiful time to visit.

This is often when they film the Christmas parade in the Magic Kingdom so you may want to avoid that park on those days.

Weather can be variable - ranging from quite nice to quite cold or anything in between.

Crowds are not low like they used to be in early December, but they are definitely manageable. You'll hit some long stand-bye lines, but there's a lot of short ones, too. It's kind of hit and miss. The one thing you'll need to be aware of depends on if you'll be there the weekend of Nov 30-Dec 2. That's when they film the Christmas morning parade at MK. MK is NUTS on those days, especially Saturday, so you would want to avoid it. Also, it's usually best to avoid being at MK in the late afternoons when there's a party that night. Since people can get in with their MVMCP tickets beginning at 4 pm it usually gets pretty crowded from 4 until the park closes for the party at 7.

It has been a while (2005) since we have been in the first part of Dec. but we found it to be a great time to go. The decorations and festivities are all happening but the crowds are managable. We found it more crowded than Sept. and avoided MK on parade filling days (as other posters said) but it was not too bad. Have a great time.

Crowds are definitely not low. But it's not like a holiday or summer crowd either. Definitely avoid the Christmas Parade taping.

If you have been at a peak time, then the crowds are definitely "low" - we love early December - it is very nice to be told on Splash Mountain we can just stay in the seat and go again.
