Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party Questions

Hi Everyone - steeled veteran of WDW but looking to attend the dessert party for the first time in early September.

1.) I did a search for reservations tonight, and it found openings for 8 PM and 8:15 PM. Does that mean that some people would get in at 8 and others at 8:15 depending on what reservation is booked?

2.) Are the tables handed out based on when you enter the terrace, or does Disney assign those ahead of time?

3.) Do you have the option to leave the party for a bit, and then re-enter?

You have openings? I tried for mid September and everything was booked for all the nights we are going. As for your question, I dont know. But I do know that a table for 2 or 3 is the way to book , you get a chance at the front row seats. If you go with 4+ people I know those people like to book their reservations as groups of 2 and 3's. Just some food for thought. Hope someone has your answers about the reservations times.

We did the dessert party last year. Tables were assigned...we were a party of five and could see great from our seats. There is plenty of standing room and you are looking up not out. We left to use the restroom and came back...I think we had a wristband. We enjoyed the event - it was something different, but has not become a must do.

How was the view??? That was my biggest question. I have heard from others that the TT view of Wishes is not the best. It's been too long since I've been and can't visualize it anymore but I was considering the dessert party for our January trip...

I think the view is great. It's not dead on center with the castle and I know some think that's the only way to see Wishes, but I think the view from the Terrace is just fine. It's not too far off center. Just remember you'll most likely have to stand during Wishes and not be able to see from your table.

Yes, it runs all year, though they generally only open up bookings about 60 days in advance. Their is not a set time (like 180 days on the ADRs) that they open dates for booking, but it's usually around 60 days out. Yes, you can book under the Disney dining site. When you go to the reservations page click on "dining event." It's pre-paid and the cost is $35.99/person.

They do have some fruit. A lot of it is chocolate covered, but they have some plain fruit. It's not a huge selection, though, since the focus is the desserts. If you're not a dessert fan I don't think it would be worth the cost.

Thanks for all the comments. Couple addends.

1.) Our total price was 51 dollars and change for two adults and one 2 year old (Who is free). Perhaps the price was lower because it is off season.

2.) The first time I tried to book this online, I put in 2 guests and found no tables. I went back and put in 3, and found a reservation. Thought that was a little strange.

Oh, we like desserts just fine:cloud9: but my husband is diabetic so he doesn't like to overdo the sugar. He can eat a whole plate of fruit while I sample my chocolate :)

I definitely understand that. My DS11 is a type-1 diabetic so we have to be careful with him when we go. Fruit for him, though, is a LOT worse than chocolate, oddly enough, in terms of making his sugar levels spike. That's an issue between type-1 and type-2 diabetics (I'm assuming your husband is type-2).

Yes, he is type 2. He takes the lowest dose of pills and isn't overweight, so it was just a natural progression of genetics and age. He doesn't seem to have a big problem with fruit.

If we go, he will just watch his carb intake that day so he can enjoy the sweets.

I have 2 friends that have kids that were diagnosed with type 1 in grade school. That certainly is a daily struggle with kids and trying to keep them healthy.
