Our typical trip to WDW is 8 nights. We have done a few shorter trips, but 8 nights is our typical family trip.

I was wondering what length trip most people take when they go to WDW

Because we drive, we spend two weeks in FL but normally split the time between Disney and a Gulf Coast beach with a couple of days at the beach and the remainder in Disney. So, our average Disney time has been 12 nights.

7 days, 6 nights, usually. But we will probably doing shorter trips (3-4 nights) in the future.

We do six nights. That gives us 4 full days (one for each park) plus 1 extra full day to be able to go back and do a something we missed. Travel days are just extra...

Works for us. We tried 7 nights (I cannot believe I am about to write this), it just seemed too long. Yeah, I said it...I must be sick in the head.

We usually do 6 days. With the 13 hour drive we that is about as long as we can go lol.

When I go with just the husband, we go for five- six nights. When we make it a family trip, we go for ten nights. I took the average and checked off 7-9.

We seem to always end up with 9 nights no matter what our intentions start off being. LOL. Our next trip was supposed to be a "short" trip. We started with 6 nights, now we have 8 nights, and there is always the option to stay one more night at the end when the time comes to leave and we aren't ready, even tho I already added "one more night". Hahaha.

Since it's a 16-17 hour drive, we try to stay as long as possible. I'm taking my mom down in September for 6 days, but we're flying and with her age & health, she couldn't handle more than 6 days. My dream is to someday buy a camper and spend a month at Ft. Wilderness. :cloud9:

Our first few times we always did 10 days but we've extended that to 14 since then.

We stay about a week- would love to stay longer. I have gone for just 2 or 3 nights solo.

Until this year it was 7 nights. This year I'm doing two 4 night trips which mostly has to do with work and vacation scheduling. We'll see how it goes, but I bet I'll prefer two 5 day trips to one 8 day trip.

Typically 7 or 8 nights. We have usually found that 7 nights is great for us - we are actually missing our fur kids a great deal by the end of 8 days!!

We've done four trips with a fifth coming up, and the first four have been 8, 7, 7, and 9 nights respectively, so answering the poll was quite easy. This upcoming trip, which I've been calling my WDW dream trip, will be the longest, which is 13 nights! I am so excited, and cannot wait to get there! Just a little over 4 weeks out... :mickey:

since we can only go once a year we try to make at least each trip 10days but we usualy shoot for 12days. That way we gett good value out of the Annual Pass.

Hmm...it really depends! When I travel with my parents we tend to stay about 7-8 nights as we drive. This year I am taking several shorter trips with friends for various reasons, and we're staying 5 nights each of those trips.

We do 7 nights. We've done 5 & 6 night stays but feel cheated out when we cut our trip short. We do all the parks twice except for Animal Kingdom.:secret:

Back in the days when we were still working, DW and I used to fly down Friday night after work, and stay til Sunday, the following weekend.
Now that we are both retired, our last two visits at WDW were 10 days on property, with a few days somewhere else. Both of these vacations were road trips. We can also make side trips to the competition when staying off property, or detours from the road trip. One year we did two days in Virginia to visit Kings Dominion and Bush Gardens, Williamsburg.

Our trips are always 6 nights; we go to Downtown Disney on the day we arrive, then spend 5 days in the parks. I hope that someday we can stay for 10 nights - that sounds perfect to me! :mickey:

We ususally go for 8 nights. We leave tomorrow for a 10 night stay!!! This is the longest we've ever stayed. I'm hoping that it won't be overkill. I don't want to lose the magic by staying too long. I'm thinking that since this will be our first time at the waterparks and DQ, we'll be fine.

Our typical is from 12 to 20 nights, depending on how far the trips apart are - closer together tend to be shorter cuz I haven't had too much time to save money. :D

I work to support my WDW travel addiction! :cloud9:

We always did 4 nights with 6 day hoppers. Use 3 days per trip. Lower per day cost
But I am rethinking that strategy with the new price increases. One year we did ap's went three times. 6 days each.
