You do not need your hotel reservation to make Advanced Dining Reservations. :)

If doing the 180+10 then you will need the ressie number for online booking. If you are calling them in, then they can probably look it up and get the number themselves to help you book. If you don't tie the dining to the room ressie then you have to keep booking at the 180 mark so can't do it all at once and get them done. Hope that helped.
