MNSSHP Tickets...how early do I need to purchase?

We are planning on going 9-25-12. How far in advance do I need to purchase? Last year, I think I bought them at the gate, or right before.

Is there really a risk that Tuesday night in Sept would sell out? I don't have alot of experience with this party or know that much about the ticket sales.

Likelihood of sellout on a Tuesday in Sept. is low, so you won't have a problem buying tickets at the gate. But there is a discount for purchasing them early online, so there's not reason to wait until you get there. You can purchase them on Disney's park site.
