BLT 1 Bedroom air conditioning question

Can we control the temperature in both the bedroom and the common room of a 1 bedroom at the BLT separately or are the 2 rooms on the same system?

We were in a dedicated 1 bedroom, only 1 thermostat for whole room.:)
