DHS Star Wars crowds

Never been to DHS during Star Wars Weekend. I know that it's a very popular event. Are the crowds mainly confined to the Star Tours attraction, or is the entire park super crowded?

My husband and I were there on May of 2010. When we planned the trip, we had no idea it was Star Wars Weekend. It didn't seem to be that crowded. Good Luck!

Area of Star Tours for sure. There are also a few parades and the Hoopla event (Stage in front of Hat area). There are extra character lines staggered around. I would avoid Sat/Sun if you can.

Party of 8 going to the world the 1st week of June, we will be there for both weekends of SWW events. I am a big star wars fan and would possibly like to visit the parks to enjoy the festivities, but our party has 3 kids 5 and under who might not care about it.
My question is if we went on a friday, would we all still be able to enjoy the parks? Would the full crowds not come into play until sat and sun?

We made the mistake of being there last year when they re-opened Star Tours. :eek: The other time, I don't remember. It sure wasn't as bad.
