What park do you like the most on Thanksgiving Day and why? Trying to plan our holiday trip. MVMCP will not be that week so will MK have the holiday parade?

We went Thanksgiving Week 2011 from the Sat before to the Sat after and it looked like MK had MSEP every night. The special holiday parade is only at MVMCP until the week of Christmas when it is during the day. EPCOT does not start adding its special holiday ending to Illuminations until the first CP day which is the day after Thanksgiving. Osbourne Lights began early November so you could go any night of your trip. We went to AK on Thanksgiving Day and they had the Jammin' Jingle Parade at 3:00 pm. The park was not too crowded at all which is why we picked it and some of the restaurants had special holiday food. That was also a great choice because we had an early dinner at Trail's End and then took some time to resort hop to look at decorations as well.

If you're able to park hop, I would spend the morning and afternoon at AK or Epcot and then head over to DHS in the evening to see the Osborne Lights. Just keep in mind that you will not be the only family with this plan. It gets VERY crowded at DHS that evening, as do the Friendship Boats running between DHS and Epcot.

Almost all restaurants will have Thanksgiving-type food on their menu that day. Consider picking one that would not be "traditional" to make it truly memorable.
