Kidani Village in October

We found decent airfare and were able to book Kidani Village savannah view for the last weekend in October (Wednesday through Sunday). We thought with the parks closing earlier (we usually travel in the summer) it would be fun to have animals for entertainment at night. We have stayed at Jambo House and loved it. Any tips for our stay? Is there a viewing area like at Jambo House besides our room? Kid activities? Thanks.

We went two Octobers ago when ODS was 20 months old. We only went into the parks 2 days and spent the rest of the time around the resort and DTD. In October, it is usually still warm enough to swim and ODS had a blast in the water play area at the pool. There are several places to view the animals other than your room. There is an outside viewing area near Sanaa and then there are areas of the hallways that have huge windows you can see the animals from as well.
You can also walk to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and see different animals from those viewing areas. Some people complain about the walk from one resort to the other, but I didn't think it was bad at all. Not near how much you walk in a day at the parks.
I know they had kids activities like trivia and stuff, but since ODS was too young to participate, we didn't look into them.
