Apr. 15, 2005 – “Disney’s Rock Around The Mouse” (a live musical tribute to the decade in which Walt Disney’s original Anaheim theme park opened) officially opens at Tokyo Disneyland.
Apr. 15, 2005 – Epcot’s 12th Annual International Flower & Garden Festival burst into action. (Ran through June 5, 2005)
Apr. 15, 2005 – Annual Passholder Previews began for “Soarin” Over California in The Land Pavilion in Future World at Epcot in WDW. (3-day event)
Apr. 15, 2005 – Disney’s Broadway Musical “Beauty and the Beast” celebrated its 11th year on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.
Apr. 15, 2006 – Animal Planet aired “Corwin’s Quest: Realm of the Yeti,” with Jeff Corwin and the elite team of scientists on a mission to search out new animal species in the Himalayas in Nepal.
Apr. 15, 2007 – Disney’s first international production of “Tarzan” opened at the Circus Theatre near Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
Apr. 15, 2007 – A special event took place to celebrate Roger Broggie’s window on Disneyland’s Main Street (which took place on Mar. 30th) occurred at Walt’s Barn in Griffith Park, Ca. Roger’s son Michael (a nationally recognized authority on the life and legacy of Walt Disney) attended with a copy of his father’s window.
Apr. 15, 2008 – Tokyo Disneyland celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a year-long celebration.
Apr. 15, 2011 – Tokyo Disneyland Resort partly reopened (on its 28th anniversary) after being closed since the devastating earthquake that hit Japan on Mar. 11th.
Apr. 15, 2011 – The Disney Channel Original Movie “Lemonade Mouth” aired for the first time.
