Another DVC points question

Ok, so I've been asking a few questions lately about points, I have another one. We're a few point shy of what we need to book our next stay. My bother is a DVC member also and has said we could have some of his points (of course we will pay for them). What do we need to do to transfer his points to us. What is a fair price per point that we should offer him. Any info you can give would be appreciated.

To transfer points to you, your brother just needs to contact member services with his and your member information and they can take care of it. This is a non-monetary transfer; you need to make payment arrangements between yourselves.

There are other stipulations that can be found via a web search using "DVC points transfer," but I couldn't find them on the official DVC member website.

I've checked a few websites where points are rented out and found the going rate seems to be around $10-$13 per point.

At $8/point your brother would probably be making a small profit -$10-13 is the going market rate, but I wouldn't charge my family that price.

I wouldn't charge my family anything; but I certainly would offer to pay them what they could get if they rented out the points. :)
