Mar. 28, 2003 – Disney’s “Piglet’s Big Movie” opened in theaters.
Mar. 28, 2003 – The “Wetzel’s Pretzels” shop and kiosk opened in Downtown Disney at WDW.
Mar. 28, 2003 – A Disneyland Resort Pin Trading Night was held in the Pacific Ballroom at the Paradise Pier Hotel.
Mar. 28, 2003 – Disney Channel premiered the “That’s So Raven” episode “Ye Old Dating Game.”
Mar. 28, 2003 – Disney’s half-hour comedy series “Regular Joe” began airing on ABC-TV. (Ended Apr. 18, 2003)
Mar. 28, 2004 – Three-time Emmy-winning, two-time Oscar winning actor, Oscar-nominated screenwriter, Grammy-winning, Narrator, and published playwright, novelist and short-story writer Peter Ustinov passed away at age 82 in Genolier, Switzerland. He starred in Disney’s 1968 live-action feature Blackbeard’s Ghost and was the voice of Prince John and King Richard in Disney’s 1973 animated feature Robin Hood.
Mar. 28, 2006 – Disney’s 2005 theatrical hit “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe” was released on DVD.
Mar. 28, 2008 – Hong Kong Disneyland announced the countdown to the launch of the “It’s A Small World” attraction, scheduled to open Apr. 28, 2008.
Mar. 28, 2008 – A circuit breaker tripped at Disney’s Epcot Center, causing parts of the park to lose power and some rides to close down temporarily.
Mar. 28, 2009 – “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” won Favorite Movie at Nickelodeon’s 22nd Annual Kids’ Choice Awards held in Ca. Among the Disney winners were High School Musical’s Vanessa Hudgens for Favorite Actress, Jonas Brothers for Favorite Group, Miley Cyrus for Favorite Female Singer, and Selena Gomez for Favorite TV Actress.
