Have any of you ever heard of the Tables in Wonderland program? Have any of ever tried it?

Annual Passholders receive a $25 discount when enrolling. We are spending 10 nights so potentially we will eat a lot of food. I was wondering if this is a good deal. Do many restaurants participate? Do counter-service eateries participate? Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi Mr Peetrie, hope this info helps.

DBF and I tried TiW for the first time this past January. First thing we noticed, the discounts we found to be much better, more flexible and allowed at more restaurants than AP or even DVC discounts. Very little limitations with when you can use it like for example at the ESPN club you cannot use the discount for AP or DVC on Sunday afternoons (prime time for most sports) but with TiW you can use it anytime at ESPN.

First major perk is TiW is a discount for ALL food, apps, desert, entree' AND Alcohol also up to ten people in your party. So you only need that one $75.00 purchase (cost with the AP discount) to take your entire family out plus friends if applicable for up to ten people in your party. You cannot of course use your discount on a neighboring tables bill (I have heard people try to use it for a strangers bill to pass the Disney magic but its not allowed). Alcohol purchases alone with the discount can be a huge savings, if you plan on drinking alcohol with meals or just having a splurge on a drinking day .

Here is a list of participating restaurants. Hope it helps:

OH! And I forgot to mention the card is also good for 13 months after the date of purchase.

One very important thing is, it is just a cheesy paper card and cannot be added to room keys etc. so you have to be very careful not to loose it. Even though it has your name on it, if you lose it, you have to purchase another one but at $50.00. So you have to be very careful that you always get it back at restaurants, keep it in a safe spot, do not get it wet, etc. lol

This is a great option! I like it better than free dining and the 20% discount is also good for alcohol. I think we're on our third TIW card which we purchased on our last trip in December.

:mickey:We also love TIW and now that the DDP is getting more expensive, it just makes sense for us especially when traveling with our family.

I believe we, too, are on our 3rd one.

I have nothing negative to say about TiW. Had it for almost 3 years and we love it!

Wow!! Great information! Thank you all so much. We will definitely be using this on our upcoming September trip.

A somewhat related question--this has to be purchased at Guest Relations in the parks? It can't be done at your resort?

 You mean you purchased a new? We were told you cannot "renew" a TiW card, once it expires you need to purchase a new one......can someone confirm?

Well, there is no renewal discount, if that's what you mean.

Plastic? Cool! Now if they'd only go to plastic for APs.

Definitely!!! Not to high jack the thread here, but realy quick, I was a little excited for a second because after our December trip we probably won't be getting annual passes again because this was sorta a "one time for now" thing and AP's won't benefit us in the future, but there isn't a DVC discount for the TiW card so I'm not sure until later when planning if the TiW will be worth the $100.00 we have to do calculations later. But got a little excited about possibly getting a discount if we renewed the already existing one! Bummer lol

I purchased the TiW card for the first time on my most recent trip. It worked out great! I think it is a great option and agree with all previous posts on this. If you are staying 10 days this will easily pay for itself.

So this sounds great! I am so excited to see this info. :mickey: One question just to be clear, I purchase the TIW card for one member of my family and we can all receive the discounts as long as there are less than 10 of us, is that right? One card per party?! If thats true, we are so getting TIW this summer!

Yes, this is correct, just make the cardholder is always present though. :)
