Free dining plan and switching resorts?

I am thinking of doing a split stay next year with 3-4 days at POR then 2-3 days at AKL. If they offer free dining during my stay how does the dining plan work? Does it just follow from resort to resort or would it be best not to hop?

The dining plan does not follow from resort to resort. You'd have two separate reservations and would need to meet any restrictions/requirements for free dining on both reservations.

Thanks faline. I thought that was the way it worked. I think I will just stick with POR.

We always do a split stay. When we did the DDP, we only did it for one stay. It is tricky the day you move resorts.

When we did the free DDP it was associated with a package. You had to buy park hoppers. If you switched rooms it was considered a new package.
