Feb. 2, 2004 – Super Bowl hero Tom Brady of the New England Patriots returned to Disney World with family and friends to celebrate his team’s big win. (This is the quarterback’s 2nd post-Super Bowl celebration at Disney World in 3 yrs.
Feb. 2, 2006 – Disney announced that the Disneyland and Disney World Pirates of the Caribbean attractions would be undergoing a 3-4 month makeover to work in character and plot elements from the movie series that took its inspiration from the original attraction.
Feb. 2, 2006 – The Walt Disney Co. donated $50,000 to the American Red Cross to aid in relief efforts following the recent storms and tornados that hit Central Florida.

Feb. 2, 2009 – Super Bowl MVP Santonio Holmes, of the Pittsburgh Steelers, took part in a Victory Parade at the Magic Kingdom in WDW.
Feb. 2, 2010 – A baby White-Cheeked Gibbon was born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in WDW,
Feb. 2, 2010 – The 82nd Annual Academy Award nominations were announced. Disney/Pixar’s “Up” was nominated for Best Motion Picture, Sound Editing, Original Screenplay, Best Animated Film, and Original Score. Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog” was also nominated for Best Animated Film plus twice in the Original Score category with “Almost There” and “Down in New Orleans” both written bt Randy Newman.
