Free DDP this year . .

So I just booked our trip for September...they usually offer free dining around this time each year, correct? I'm kind of counting on it..haha :) However, am I right in thinking that if you stay at a value resort, they only offer the quick service dining plan for free? Because if so, I'll need to upgrade it.

They have offered it the past few years in September, yes. That doesn't mean they will this year. Unfortunately, Disney doesn't tip their hand on that so we never know until they release it, which is usually April or May. The best bet is to book through Magical Journeys and they'll handle changing your reservation when/if any discount comes out without any hassle on your part (and no cost to you).

Also, yes, the last couple of years the values have been offered the QS only with the option to upgrade.
