We are spending the next week at the beach on the gulf coast. My DSIL called today to ask if it was fesable to take the kids (2.5 and will turn 1 on the trip) to MK for the day! I'm so happy! I have been filling my nieces head with all things Disney forever...she knows which pics are Disnet on my phone. I can't wait!!

cool!

where are you staying on the coast? It will make a difference as to how long it will take to get back and forth.
We were just in
St Pete Beach. the drive was a good 1 1/2 hours.
Also, 4 seemed to back up terribly coming toward Disney from the west. not wanting to concern you, I just like to be prepared.

We will be in Reddington Shores. We have made the drive before (in fact, I'm flying into Orlando tomorrow, then driving to TPA to pick the rest of the group up). I4 is awful, but luckily, the kids are car sleepers (like the second the car moves, they are both out!) so that will help. Plus we have a DVD player.

Hi all! Went to MK with the kiddos yesterday and had a blast! We only rode 5 or 6 things (it was pretty busy) and watched the castle show, but she LOVED IT! She had a blastand talked about Disney World the whole ride home.

Now I really can't wait to go on a real Disney trip with them! It won't be until at least 2014, but it will be well worth the wait!

Glad you and the kids had such a great day Meg. Was it really that crowded? :(

How very exciting! Just a taste of it all, but enough to satisfy and still keep her longing for more. So glad it was a great day.

I'm guessing that most of the park wasn't too bad, but fantasyland was busy! The absence of Dumbo was not helping. Pooh was 45 mins, so was Peter Pan. Even IASW was 15 mins. The expansion does look like it's coming along nicely. Next time I'm there with the kids it should be done!
