Jan. 12, 2006 – “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” (hosted by Meredith Viera) began taping shows at WDW.
Jan. 12, 2006 – Disney’s half-hour comedy series “Crumbs” began airing on ABC.
Jan. 12, 2007 – The Disney Channel Original Movie “Jump In” aired.
Jan. 12, 2007 – The Disney Channel’s newest series “Cory in the House” (a spin off of “That’s So Raven”) debuted.
Jan. 12, 2007 – The new Disney Dollars featuring “Ariel,” “Princess Aurora,” and “Cinderella,” were released at Disneyland, WDW, and Disney Stores.
Jan. 12, 2007 – The Disneyland Resort and WDW released the next series of Disney Dollars, featuring Ariel ($1.00), Aurora ($5.00) and Cinderella ($10.00). Each Disney Dollar would feature a 20th anniversary seal.
Jan. 12, 2007 – Shareholders were informed that Disney’s 2007 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, would be on Mar. 8, 2007, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, La.
Jan. 12, 2008 – The West End Production of “Mary Poppins” closed after a run of more than three years.
Jan. 12, 2010 – The Disney on Ice Celebrates 100 Years of Magic salute to the Olympic spirit took place at Bryant Park in N.Y.C.
Jan. 12, 2011 – United States Army Staff Sgt. Salvatore Giunta, who was recently presented the Medal of Honor by President Obama for his heroic actions in Afghanistan, took part in the daily flag retreat ceremony at Disneyland.
