Dec. 12, 1957 – Disney aired the “Zorro” episode “Garcia’s Secret Mission” for the first time.
Dec. 12, 1958 – The Walt Disney Presents TV series aired episode 4 of “Elfago Baca: Law and Order, Incorporated.”
Dec. 12, 1964 – Actor Burke Moses, who originated the role of Gaston in Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” in 1994 on Broadway, and also in the Los Angeles and London’s West End production in 1997, was born in N.Y.C.
Dec. 12, 1981 – The Disney 2-hour TV movie “Walt Disney-One Man’s Dream” aired.
Dec. 12, 1993 – Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast, A New Musical” made its debut in Houston, Tx.
Dec. 12, 2000 – The Disneyland Pacific Hotel re-opened as Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. The 502 room hotel has been brightly painted and decorated to reflect the new beachfront theme, and offers hotel guests a private entrance into Paradise Pier and the rest of Disney’s California Adventure.
Dec. 12, 2000 – Disney’s “Air Bud: World Pup” was released on home video and DVD.
Dec. 12, 2004 – The Disney ABC Family Original Movie “Snow” aired.
Dec. 12, 2005 – It was reported that “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe” topped the British box office with the biggest-ever opening weekend receipts for a Disney film.
Dec. 12, 2005 – Radio Disney officially premiered “Five More Days ‘Til Christmas” a single by “The Cheetah Girls” off their current holiday album “Cheetah-Licious Christmas.”
