Dec. 3, 1973 – Actor Bruno Campos, the voice of Prince Naveen in Disney’s 2009 “The Princess and the Frog,” was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Dec. 3, 1985 – “Dumbo” became the third “Walt Disney Classic” to be released on video.
Dec. 3, 1987 – Actor Michael Angarano, Will Stronghold of Disney’s 2005 “Sky High,” was born in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Dec. 3, 1988 – The Disney Channel Premiere Film “Goodbye, Miss 4th of July” was released.
Dec. 3, 1989 – Disney’s part-1 of its 2-part TV movie “A Mother’s Courage: The Mary Thomas Story” aired. (Part-2 aired Dec. 10, 1989)
Dec. 3, 1994 – Actor Jake T. Austin, Max Russo on Disney Channel’s “Wizards of Waverly Place,” was born in N.Y.
Dec. 3, 1998 – “Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party” began at the Magic Kingdom in WDW.(Dates: 3,4,7,10,11,17, & 18)
Dec. 3, 1999 – Disney Legend Joe Fowler passed away at age 99 in Orlando, Fl. A retired U.S. Navy Admiral, Fowler oversaw construction of Disneyland and WDW.
Dec. 3, 2001 – It was reported that the Walt Disney Internet Group would make popular Disney characters and songs available on AT&T Wireless phones for the 1st time in the U.S. (Disney branded ring tones and graphics were first offered in Japan in August 2000.)
Dec. 3, 2002 – Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” was released and video and DVD.
