Our family was at Epcot on Saturday and the park had several tents outside of the entry gates. As we walked up, we were asked if we would like to participate in a new turnstile system test. We agreed and a CM placed Mickey stickers with what are apparently electronic tags integrated into them.
All five in our family received the stickers. We were then directed to the turnstile test area. There is a silver sphere with a Mickey outline backlit by LEDs and to the right, the familiar finger scanner. When the green light comes on, you're good to go through the gate.
Cool system and it looks like it might be speedier than the older system. The only observation our family had was that there should be better organization of guests as they get in line to scan their passes.
Did anyone else have any thoughts on this?
