We will be in Orlando for the full day of 30 Dec staying near the airport. Doesn't look like we will have a rent a car as they are way overpriced that time of the year. We actually arrive in Orlando the morning of 28 Dec and sail from Port Canaveral 31 Dec (not a Disney cruise). We wanted to make sure we got there is plenty of time as you never know what the weather will be in Canada at that time of the year.
We are not really interested in going to Disney as it will be packed and we were just there in May for 2 1/2 weeks and have also been there in Dec previously. What would you suggest to do? There could be up to 8 of us, but we don't all have to do the same thing.

Maybe a medieval times dinner show, FAO Schwarz, fabulous looking mini golf places, malls, you name it.

Do you have transportation at all? If you do, you could go shopping at outlet mall not far, Winter Park is a nice town to visit, nice little shops and restaurants. You could also go ahead and go a day earlier to Cocoa/Pt. Canaveral area and stay over and do things there like Ron Jon, Cocoa Beach, Kennedy SC, Jetty Park. There really is a ton of stuff not far from you. The orange groves in Haines City are cool to go to if you have never been to one and aren't far from where you will be.
