Nov. 13, 1960 – The Disney TV show aired “Donald’s Silver Anniversary.”
Nov. 13, 1966 – The Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color aired “A Ranger’s Guide to Nature” on NBC-TV.
Nov. 13, 1967 – Actor Steve Zahn, the voice of Runt of the Litter in the 2005 animated feature “Chicken Little,” was born in Marshall, Mn. (Movie fans may recognize him from such features as That Thing You Do!, National Security, and Employee of the Month.)
Nov. 13, 1971 – Walt Disney Productions released “The Aristocat’s,” Disney’s 20th animated feature in Italy.
Nov. 13, 1978 – A special Amtrak train carrying Mickey Mouse left Los Angeles for a 5-day trip to New York.
Nov. 13, 1980 – Actress & dancer Monique Coleman was born in Orangeburg, S.C. Her Disney Channel credits include “High School Musical” and “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.”
Nov. 13, 1984 – The Disney TV Special “Donald Duck’s 50th Birthday” aired on CBS.
Nov. 13, 1988 – The Disney TV show aired “Mickey’s 60th Birthday.”
Nov. 13, 1991 – Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” featuring the voices of Robby Benson, Angela Lansbury, Paige O’Hara, Richard White, and Jerry Orbach, premiered in New York. (General release was Nov. 22, 1991)
Nov. 13, 1997 – Disney’s “The Lion King” musical play opened at the New Amsterdam Theater in N.Y.C. The cast album was also released at the theater and in the tri-state area on the show’s opening night.
