Nov. 12, 1961 – The Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color aired part-1 of “The Light in the Forest” on NBC-TV. (Part-2 aired Nov. 19, 1961)
Nov. 12, 1961 – Prime Minister Nehru of India visited Disneyland. He was taken on a personal tour of the park by Walt Disney himself.
Nov. 12, 1962 – The Firehouse Five Plus Two (a musical group made up of writers, animators, producers and directors at the Walt Disney Studios) performed on stage at the Golden Horseshoe Saloon at Disneyland.
Nov. 12, 1969 – Twenty-year-old Cathy Birk was chosen to be Disneyland’s new Ambassador to the World.
Nov. 12, 1980 – Actor Ryan Gosling, a member of the Disney Channel’s “The All New Mickey Mouse Club,” was born in Ontario, Canada.
Nov. 12, 1982 – Actress Anne Hathaway, of Disney’s “The Princess Diaries” and “The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement,” was born in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Nov. 12, 1986 – The 4th International Children’s Peace Prize Awards were held at Disneyland’s Videopolis Stage, bringing children together from 41 countries to foster the goal of world peace.
Nov. 12, 1989 – Disney’s 2-hour TV movie “Polly” aired.
Nov. 12, 1993 - The “Village Traders” opened at the Outpost in World Showcase at Epcot.
Nov. 12, 1993 – Disney’s “The Three Mouseketeers,” starring Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland, Chris O’Donnell, Tim Curry and Rebecca De Mornay, was released.
