Nov. 5, 1990 - Disney’s Yacht Club & Beach Club Resort opened at WDW.
Nov. 5, 1990 – The “Fittings & Fairings Clothes and Notions” shop opened in the Yacht Club Resort at WDW.
Nov. 5, 1993 – The Annie Awards were handed out at ATAS Plaza Theatre in Los Angeles, Ca. Disney’s “Aladdin” won Best Animated Feature. Among the 3 Winsor McCay Award winners was Roy Disney.
Nov. 5, 1994 – OC Register reported that – “After ferrying 150 million passengers between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland over the past 38 years, Disneyland’s “Skyway” would make its last trip Wedsnesday.” (4-days later the attraction would close.)
Nov. 5, 1997 - Les Chefs de France reopened from rehab and was combined with Au Petit Café and Bistro de Paris reopened using its original name.
Nov. 5, 1998 – Pleasure Island’s 2nd annual “Blues Thing” kicked off with guitarist Jimmie Vaughan.
Nov. 5, 1999 – The Disney/Touchstone Picture film “The Insider” was released.
Nov. 5, 2003 – Conductor, musical director, and composer lyricist, Stephen Bates, who conducted the launch of the 2003 National Tour of “The Lion King,” died of AIDS related lymphoma at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Chicago, Il.
Nov. 5, 2004 – The Disney/Pixar film “The Incredibles” opened in theaters, starring Craig T. Nelson (Bob “Mr. Incredible” Parr), Sarah Vowell (Violet Parr), and Brad Bird (Edna “E” Mode).
Nov. 5, 2004 – Annual Passholder Previews began for “Stitch’s Great Escape” in Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom at WDW. (3-day event)
