DVC points question

Looking for an answer for future reference. If we were to borrow points from the following year to complete a trip & we had to cancel or goto a smaller size room what happens to those points borrowed & not used.

Once borrowed you have to use them or they will expire at the end of the current use year.

What you MAY be able to do is bank your current use year points into next year, but borrowed points stay in the year that you borrow them into.

You have to use them (borrowed ones)- but you can bank your existing ones
