Sept. 29, 1973 – Actor Brad Kane, the singing voice of Disney’s “Aladdin,” was born in New Rochelle, N.Y.
Sept. 29, 1974 – The Disney TV show aired “Shokee, the Everglades Panther.”
Sept. 29, 1986 – Disneyland’s “Magic Eye Theatre” opened in Tomorrowland.
Sept. 29, 1991 – The “Studio Showcase” attraction opened at Disney-MGM Studios at WDW.
Sept. 29, 1994 - Innoventions West officially opened replacing CommuniCore West.
Sept. 29, 1995 – The Disney film “The Big Green” was released.
Sept. 29, 1998 – “The Jungle Book: Mowgli’s Story” was released direct-to-video. It is a live-action sequel to the 1967 animated feature.
Sept. 29, 1998 – Disney’s one-hour dramatic TV series “Felicity” began airing on the WB Network. (Ended May 22, 2002)
Sept. 29, 1998 – The popular Disney barbershop harmony group, the Dapper Dans, appeared on an episode of TV’S “Home Improvement.” They appeared as the “Flannels” singing a rendition of the Tool Time theme song.
Sept. 29, 1998 – Walt Disney Records released “Return to Pride Rock” in conjunction with the direct-to-video “Lion King” sequel of the same name.
