1) Check inside Guest Relations at each of the parks and at the resorts; last we knew, each Guest Relations had a Pin Trading Book. We collected and finished the Character Alphabet and our three-year quest for all the Monorails :)

2) Collect things you *like*: attractions, resorts, characters, Cast exclusive, etc. Trade the ones you're not all that interested in :)

3) Don't be afraid to go up to the CM's with the lanyards at the parks and resorts; we found a lot of our collectors this way.

4) Don't be afraid to ask where you might find certain pins. EPCOT's Pin Trading Station behind Spaceship Earth, and Pin Traders at Downtown Disney have some very knowledgeable Cast.

5) See if you can find "foreign" Disney pins :) We found quite a few DLP and TDL pins in Florida, along some DLR.

I trade for pins I want to keep. Pins that are meaningful to that trip. Our last mother / daughter trip was the week that MGM Studios changed to Hollywood Studios so we traded for those two. The week my DS left for Marine bootcamp I traded for all the patriotic pins I could find.

I collect pins, and only trade with CMs if I see a pin I like

DH and I are collectors, but DD is a trader that becomes a collector when she finds something that interests her.

She's actually quite good at finding what she needs to complete her collections, lots of trading with CM's.

I am a HUGE collector! I drive DBF because I tend to "obsess" about things, its the OCD in me

I collect favorite character pins, some I have more than one type. I collect a pin for every year and always collect the "Special Edition" pins, depending on characters, etc.

:mickey: I never saw this on Intercot before ...I am always looking at trip planning, dining or resort info. But we started a collection on our first trip with my two daughters. Now I think we are up to 73 or so pins in a nice collectors case. I am not sure where to look for some of these older sets to complete some we have come by. Cast Member pins...lots of Hidden Mickey sets need a few and I am trying to keep ones specific to each trip we took....really want to go to Pin Traders at DDD this year....what to find ???
