Sept. 18, 1987 – Disney’s 2-hour syndicated TV special “Ducktales” aired.
Sept. 18, 1991 – The Disney/Touchstone film “Paradise” had its premiere in New York. (General release was Oct. 4, 1991)
Sept. 18, 1992 – The Disney/Touchstone film “Captain Ron” was released.
Sept. 18, 1992 – Disney’s TV series “The Golden Palace” (a spinoff of The Golden Girls) began airing on CBS. (Ended Aug. 6, 1993)
Sept. 18, 1992 – The Disney/Hollywood Pictures film “Sarafina!” had its premiere. (General release was Sept. 25, 1992)
Sept. 18, 1993 – The 1st exhibition game of the Walt Disney Co. owned “The Mighty Ducks” NHL Hockey Team took place.
Sept. 18, 1993 – Disney’s animated TV series “Marsupilami” began airing on CBS-TV (Ended Aug. 27, 1994)
Sept. 18, 1995 – Disney’s ½-hour TV series “If Not for You” began airing on CBS. (Ended Oct. 9, 1995)
Sept. 18, 1998 – “Secrets of the Animal Kingdom,” a syndicated ½ hour television series, aired. Taped at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, it was the 1st series produced by Walt Disney Attractions Television. (Ended Sept. 13, 1999)
Sept. 18, 2000 – Production began on the Disney film “The Princess Diaries” in San Francisco, Ca.
