Sept. 13, 1981 – The TV series “Disney’s Wonderful World” aired for the last time on NBC. Starting on Sept. 26, the series will be called simply “Walt Disney…” and air on CBS.
Sept. 13, 1986 – “Captain EO,” a 17-minute, 3-D, musical, science-fiction film starring Michael Jackson, had its debut. The festivities were held at Disneyland and Epcot Center at WDW. The movie cost about $1,000,000 a minute to produce.
Sept. 13, 1986 – Disney’s television series “Disney’s Wuzzles” began airing on ABC-TV. (Ended May 16, 1987)
Sept. 13, 1988 – Disney’s TV special “Roger Rabbit & the Secrets of Toon Town” aired on CBS.
Sept. 13, 1991 – The Walt Disney Company acquired “Discovery” magazine.
Sept. 13, 1996 – Mistress of the Dark, “Elvira,” was at Disney-MGM Studios in WDW to host a Friday the 13th party.
Sept. 13, 1996 – The “Latin Rhythm Nights” began at Pleasure Island in WDW. (It would run through Sept. 15, 1996.)
Sept. 13, 1996 – The Disney/Hollywood Pictures film “The Richman’s Wife” was released.
Sept. 13, 1997 – The Disney 2-hour Saturday morning show “One Saturday Morning” debuted on ABC.
Sept. 13, 1997 - Disney’s animated TV series “101 Dalmatians: The Series” began airing on ABC.(Went into syndication Sept. 1, 1997)

I still find this amazing that it cost $1M per minute to produce . . . back in 1986. WOW!
