I'm planning our March-trip and are trying to decide where to eat breakfast on the day we're going to MK. It would be nice if it was either at the park or somewhere in the MK resort area.

Since it's only me and DH who are going it doesn't have to be a character breakfast. We've earlier eaten at Ohana's, 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace and it would be nice to try something new. Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice sit-down breakfast close to MK?

You could try Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wildreness Lodge. It's just a boat ride away from MK.

I prefer Grand Floridian Cafe to Kona, though Kona is also a good choice. Grand Floridian Cafe is slightly less crowded, more relaxing atmosphere (for me- at Kona, I always feel like I'm eating in the lobby, though a lovely lobby it is), good food and service, maybe slightly more adult. Kona's main draws are the Tonga Toast and Macadamia Nut pancakes while the GFC offerings are more toward the lobster eggs benedict and steak and eggs. So it depends on what you feel like for breakfast (though both have a mix of the sweet and savory, and some more standard breakfast items).

I agree, GF Cafe or Kona. GF Cafe more upscale and Kona is more relaxed quick service like. You can check both out on the disney site under "where to eat."

I just got a reservation for breakfast at Chef Mickey's on the 18th. So excited!!!

Another vote for either Kona or GF Cafe. I've had breakfast at both and you can't go wrong with either of them, although I do like the atmosphere of the GF Cafe better.

Kona is our favorite. Personaly, I don't care for the Tonga Toast (way to sweet for me), but I've never had a less-than-great meal at Kona, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. The bacon at Kona is really good.

While you did say Table Service, I endorse on of my favorite breakfasts....The Tonga Toast is also available at Captain Cooks...and you can sit outside. Great way to start a day...and it is only a short walk to the boat dock, for a short boat ride to the MK.

The Tonga Toast is good, but the coffee and macadamia nut pancakes are the bomb:mickey:

Thank you all for the suggestions! I think we'll go with Kona (because of the Pancakes :mickey:). GF café will be our 2nd choice!

I actually agree with Sherri about Grand Floridian Cafe, but I recognize we're probably unusual for preferring the savory breakfast to sweet. Kona is a lovely choice -- I it a lot for dinner -- but the famous Tonga Toast is too sugary for me. You cam have the stuffed French toast, I'll stick with the lobster.
