ABC Family is having a Pixar marathon this weekend, concluded with Toy Story and Toy Story 2. I love these movies, all three, and while watching them today something occurred to me that never has...Andy is very much fatherless.

Now we all know Disney has a habit of making single parent or no parent leads but they usually reference where the parents ended up, not in Toy Story. Not even in Toy Story 3.

So watcha think? Whats the back story here? Divorced? Military? Dead? Pixar just didn't want to have to animate another adult?
