Is there anything you don't feel comfortable sharing with your family?

I don't like to have anyone use my bath towel or my toothbrush.

I also have a special coffee mug I consider mine.

Interesting question! I'm an only child, so I never had to share anything until I got married and had children. My list includes: my PS3 controller, my laptop, my face & hair towels. My toothbrush. My pillow.
I'd rather not share my Nintendo DS or my iPod, but my daughter has neither (while her older brothers each have their own), so sometimes I allow her to use mine.

Laundry.

With the sole exception of dry cleaning my suits and tux, I will not allow anyone to wash my clothes, nor will I wash anyone elses clothes.

Just brought it up because my husband of 36 years has used my towel twice in the last couple of weeks ( something he hasn't done before- he just grabbed the wrong one tonight) and was really insulted that I wouldn't use it when I took my shower.

nothing personnel but I washed it before I would use it - besides it was WET I like my towel dry when use it after my shower.

Definitely my toothbrush. I can't think of any other item I would absolutely not share with my family.

Sharing a toothbrush never, ever occurred to me until a friend of mine told me she and her husband sometimes share. No offense to the sharers out there, but this is beyond disgusting to me. I won't share utensils. I won't drink after others and prefer no one drink after me. All that being said, I don't mind sharing a kiss with my honey. ;)

I also don't like to share my towel (or bathrobe).

The older I get, the less I like to let others borrow in general. I guess I'm getting stingy in my old age.

With family, I am pretty open to anything. If they want to use my toothbrush, fine. I have a couple of new ones in the cabinet. No worries, but they could just use one of the new ones.:) As for my laptop or cell phone, well, I would rather they not use that because they have posted some rather amusing FB posts on my behalf.

I'm with you - towels. I don't want anyone else using my towel. Toothbrush is another one, but I never would have thought to mention it if someone else hadn't said something.

I was an only child and never had to share but my kids (3&5) broke me of that. Nothing is safe with them around :)

Definitely not my toothbrush. LOL. But I am the only girl in my house so there's a lot I don't have to share like my clothes, makeup, shoes, jewelry, etc. I actually like being the only girl and all that stuff is MINE!

How can anyone use a towel that someone may have used to thoroughly dry their...... uh .... nether regions. I KNOW how well I wash, but I don't know what someone else thinks is clean enough.

Gross, just incredibly gross.

I guess just my toothbrush since I tend to wash towels after just one use.
I know that is wasteful, but I'm old and have habits!
